Chapter 12: Cry of the Hunters
“End of all crazy events”
Perspective:Piggy

Dear Journal

The place Ralph hides in is in those thick bushes to stay safe from Jack's Tribe because the tribe was dropping giant rocks to scare Ralph out of the thick bushes. Jack and the other boys were chasing Ralph and they were cordon. Sam gave Ralph meat because he didn't want Ralph to starve. When Ralph got the meat from Sam he was distended. Samneric join Jack's tribe because they had no choice because Jack would probably kill they like a diddle. Roger had a stick with both sides sharpened like what happened to the Pig. Jack's tribe burns the island so Ralph runs form his hiding spot. This make all the boys run away from the island. What a bunch of immature little kids. When my good friend Ralph runs to the beach he discovers a Naval Officer. That mean Jack appears like a hobo on the beach. His cloths are all mess up and ugly. The boy who cannot remember his name is Percival Wymes Madison. Ralph takes the responsibility for what happened on the island and Jack doesn't care because he doesn't want to be in trouble. The nice Naval Officer is disappointed at all the boys because they are all messed up and all ugly to be part of the British. Also the Naval Officer was mad at the boys for burning the island and when they saw the clothes of the kids they were freaked out because there were these kids on this island that had no clothes.

Chapter 11 Castle Rock
“The end of the island”

Dear Journal
In the beginning of this chapter Piggy tells Ralph to blow the conch and make an assembly. Only the boys from Ralph’s tribe appear. That means Piggy, Samneric, and some littluns. One reason Piggy will give Jack to return his glasses is he and Ralph will make a fire for Jack and his tribe. If Jack gives Piggy his glasses back Piggy will be delirious. Jack stole a talisman from Piggy and Ralph. Ralph brings the conch with them to comfort Jack and his tribe. Roger was the boy who challenged Ralph, Piggy, and Samneric. When Jack appears he tells his boys to try to tie Samneric. Then Roger pushes a rock and kills Piggy. Ralph screams at Jack and says “thief”. Later Ralph calls Jack "You're a beast, and a swine and a bloody, bloody thief!" Ralph leaves truculently. After the fight or conversation with Jack Ralph runs away and leaves Samneric tied up with Jack. When Piggy is talking with Jack’s tribe Roger pushes a rock and it hits Piggy.

Roger and Jack are responsible for killing Piggy. Jack is more responsible because he told Roger to do that. Roger was just there to listen to Jack because he said to Roger something to threaten him. When Piggy died Ralph was cessation. Jack also said that he hates littluns and this is what he said “Sucks to the littluns”.

Chapter 10: The Shell and the Glasses
"No Conch and no more glasses"
Perspective:Simon

Dear Journal

This is me Simon as a ghost and I will just write my last journal entree. The scene between Ralph and Piggy is right after I die. Ralph says to Piggy that my death was on purpose. Ralph knew from the start when Jack left the tribe of boys that Jack would kill me. Piggy thinks my death was just an accident. Jack did not mean to kill me he was trying to protect his tribe from the beast.

Jack's rules for his tribe is if you don't listen to Jack you will get beat up or get threatened to get beat up. When this boy named Wilfred did not listen to Jack he threatened Wilfred. This is not fare for the boys in Jack's tribe because if they are far away from Jack they can not hear him. Jack can also threaten the boys and say "I will kill you”. Also Jack said to not mention anything to Ralph and Piggy or else Jack will beat the boys up.

In this next paragraph Jack, Maurice, and Roger plan something to steal something from Ralph and Piggy's camp side. Jack tells Maurice and Roger to help him get something from Piggy. The special object Jack and the other two boys steal is Piggy's glasses. Without Piggy's glasses Ralph can not start another fire and they won't get rescued. Now that Jack made a new tribe. Lots of worst things happen like more people are dying. How dare Jack and his tribe kill Piggy?

Another bad thing that happens was when Jack invaded Ralph's camp just to steal Piggy's glasses. Ralph even said to Jack they would have given Jack some fire if they asked for it. Now that Jack stole Piggy's glasses Ralph now wants to get in a fight with Jack. Even though Sam and Eric knew that they were outnumbered they both wanted to fight with their spears. When Jack said grab them to Samneric they both grab Ralph and Piggy. Now that Sam and Eric betrayed Ralph and with Piggy dead Ralph is by himself and runs away from Castle Rock. If I was still a live I would have stayed with Ralph and help him with anything he needed. Now I will never forgive Jack.

Blog Post #8 and #9

How dare Jack Merridew kill the pig just for a gift to the beast? Why did Jack have to leave the tribe and start off fresh from the start? To me Jack was just being stubborn and did not care about the other members of the tribe. After Simon ran to Ralph saying the beast talked to him. Also, when Simon said all of the details and said they circled around it. Then they speared the pig in the butt. Then finally got sticks that were really sharp and just cut off the pigs head. I still can not believe Jack would do something like that. The reason Jack did this was because he though if he and his tribe gave the beast a gift that it would leave his tribe alone. If Jack stayed with Ralph’s group then none of this wouldn’t happen. Well maybe if Jack stayed the whole tribe could have started a new election for chief, but Jack is gone. The final things are the pig turned out to be Lord of the Flies and Jack is new chief of the other tribe of boys.

Part 2
Jack Merridew is the one who killed Simon because he thought Simon was the beast in disguise. My evidence is when Jack and the boys were saying Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood. Another evidence was like I said earlier was when Jack said to the littluns and biguns that Simon was the beast in disguise. Well to me Jack and his tribe didn’t know when this random thing just comes running right out of the forests and so they had to protect themselves by killing it. When they said the kill the beast chant something always happens. The last piece of evidence is when Jack says “Simon could be the beast in disguise” that just shocked me because he knew that it was Simon and he still killed him. That says Jack doesn’t care if anything happens to some now because he killed one of his boys. This is why Jack killed Simon.

Chapter 7: Shadows and Tall Trees
"Hunt for the Beastie"
Perspectives:Ralph

EVERYBODY ANSWER
• What is the game the boys play after spearing the pig? Who spears the pig? Describe the mood of the boys afterwards.
The boys were being Windy. The boys were playing a game were Robert was the pig and the other boys were being laughing sagely. The person who speared the pig was me. So I and the boys were being bravado.

• Jack suggests, “You could get someone to dress up as a pig and then he could act, you know, pretend to knock me over and all that.” Robert said that they need a real pig because it has to be killed. What does Jack suggest as a substitute? What does this foreshadow?
Jack says a littlun should be a substitute for a little pig. Also, Jack says this because he doesn’t even care about the littluns. He doesn’t talk to them with Impervious. This foreshadows that more people will die and we might encounter the beastie.

• What evidence did the boys find to prove that there is a beast? (Why are they so gullible?)
The evidence we found were the beastie was just a dead Aviator when Sam n Eric were really bravado. They said it had sharp claws and had wings.

IF YOU ARE RALPH
What did you daydream about home?
The daydream was about me back at my house thinking about my hair, hands, mouth, and more. On the island my mouth is weird and I can’t brush my teeth. My hair is really messy when I got on the island it was good. My hand or nail are really grouse because I can’t cut my nails and wash my hand good.

then there was a Aviator and they thought he was dead. Sam and Eric were flailing.

The littluns aren’t aware of the beast or Aviator because it was probably to dark for them to see and they are not embroiled.

Sam and Eric are terrified because they saw the Aviator himself fall out of the airplane and they ran to Ralph flailing.

Sam ‘n Eric said to Ralph with diffidently said the beast had sharp claws and wings.

5.What is the attitude of the boys when going off to look for the beast?
I think that we should kill the beastie to get it over with. On the other hand Ralph think we should be careful and make a plan and it makes me waxy.

There is no beastie because Sam and Eric didn’t see a beast but an Aviator. I know this because they said so them self.

IF YOU ARE JACK

Why do you really not care about being rescued?

EVERYBODY ANSWER
Chapter 5: Beast from Water
"Take care of the littluns they are scared"
Perspective: Simon

1. Why is an assembly called?
The assembly was called because none of the littluns and biguns were listening to Ralph. Also Jack was being ludicrous to Ralph and Piggy.

2. What concerns are brought up?
The things that are concerned about the fire and you must cook fish and crab on top of the mountain. Also, nobody got fresh water to fill the coconuts. Nobody is building the huts only me and Ralph. This is just ludicrous and this is making me turn discursive.

3. How do you feel about those concerns?
These concerns mad me feel like lamentation because nobody is helping anymore and we may not survive. We could have survived if Jack and the hunters just watched the signal fire.

4. How are things breaking up (falling apart)?
The things that are breaking apart are Ralph and Jack because they both have different idea to survive. Jack thinks that hunting is more important to survive because we can eat meat. Ralph thinks that making shelter is more important to survive because we can be safe from the beastie and to stay warm.

5. Why do you think the littluns cry in their sleep?
The littluns are scared and they are lamentation at night because they thing the beastie is out in the forest and they hear things every night.

6. What was Percival Wemys Madison afraid of?
Percival Wemys Madison is afraid because he thinks the beastie is coming from the water an had a nightmare that he was outside of the huts and he saw the beastie.

7. What do you think is “the dirtiest thing there is” about human nature?
The dirtiest things I have seen through out my life is that people are very selfish and mean and don’t share anything. Other people are very kind and helpful land share and help you.
IF YOU ARE SIMON

1. Explain the passage written about you: “Simon became inarticulate in his effort to express mankind’s essential illness. Inspiration came to him. What’s the dirtiest thing there is?”
The dirtiest thing I think is when people kill innocent people just for money or for food. People can just be ludicrous and discursive.

2. What are you suggesting about human nature when you ask that question?
The suggestion I have about human nature is people can change and be more helpful or having more decorum.

"The Sign of a Warrior"
Perceptive:Piggy

EVERYBODY ANSWER:
1. What things are you having trouble adjusting to on the island that are different from your life at home in England?
Well some of the things that I am having trouble with is on the island Ralph and Jack are fighting. Also on the island there is a lot of the people are really blatant.

2. How do you feel about the littluns?
The way I feel for the littluns are most of them are impalpable. This happens because they are scared by the beastie.
3. What do they do with their time?
The littluns just waste there time doing nothing they just play in the water or sand and be blatant.

4. Why do you all paint your faces?
Mostly the hunter’s paint there face because Jack the hunter and choir leader is very belligerence and paint there face to look like real warriors. Also because pigs won’t be able to see us.

5. What does this foreshadow?
To me I think this foreshadows that we might get more meat to eat because animals won’t be able to see us. Also maybe the beastie won’t see and then we strike to kill it.

6. How do you feel when your face is painted?
I kind of feel a little silly because mature people don’t paint their faces. This also make me feel a little belligerence.

7. Why doesn’t the passing ship see you on the island?
The passing ship doesn’t see us on the island because the fire died and there is no smoke so nothing can see us.

8. Why was the fire allowed to go out?
The fire went out because Jack and the hunters were supposed to look over the fire and make sure it doesn’t go out.

IF YOU ARE PIGGY:
1. What other crisis develops regarding the fire?
Ralph and his group is going to make a fire again and try to get rescued. They will probably use my glasses to start the fire.

2. What do you predict will happen next on this island?
The things I predict that will happen on the island is more people might die. Also Ralph and Jack will get more belligerence against each other and we will probably run into the beastie and might kill it.

Chapter 3 Huts On The Beach
"Everyone isn't helping anymore"
Perceptive:Ralph

1. Why is it important/not important to have shelter for the little ones?
It is important to make a shelter because most of the little ones are scared of the beastie. Also if it rains not that much rain will get in. Also because the tendril cant’s hit them.

2. What are the various jobs assigned to the boys?
Some boys are with the hunters to hunt for food and Simon and me are building the huts. Piggy and other boys are just doing nothing they are at the water.

3. Why aren’t they carried out?
The other boys aren’t doing anything because maybe they are hungry and Jack hasn’t killed a pig or anything yet. They just don’t know what to do because it is inscrutable.

4. What do you feel is the most important task for survival? Explain.
To me I think making shelters is more important right now because most of the kids are scared of the beastie and need a place to be comfortable to sleep. Also if there are no holes or open spots in the huts then the opaque can’t hit their eyes.

5. Describe Simon. (If you are Simon, describe yourself)
Simon is a real help to me because he has been helping with the huts. He is completely rapt.

6. What do you think will happen on this island if you don’t get rescued soon?
If we don’t get off this island fast the boys might turn into compulsion. Also the boys might start to kill each other.

IF YOU ARE RALPH:

Why don’t you get along with Jack (in this chapter)?
In this chapter Jack and I fight because he thinks that the food is more important than shelter. Well I think both are important, but shelter is more important right now so we can sleep better and protect each other from the beastie.
